Cory Pilling, DPM

After earning his DPM, Dr. Pilling performed an extensive three-year residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. During his residency period, he also had the opportunity to train in pediatric and development conditions at the National Children’s Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Pilling was part the Baja Project for Crippled Children and provided free medical care for needy Honduran children. His pediatric training includes the Ponseti method of treatment for clubfoot.

Dr. Pilling was granted the prestigious honor of a fellowship at the internationally renowned Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia. One of only two residents from the USA, he was trained in advanced techniques of repairing bone injuries and complex deformities of the lower extremity and foot.

Jason DeVries, DPM

Dr. Jason DeVries joined the Canyon Foot Ankle team in January of 2024, coming from South Idaho Foot and Ankle. He has almost 20 years of experience in the podiatry field, graduating with honors from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Afterward, he completed a comprehensive three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency at the Legacy/Kaiser Portland Hospital Podiatry Surgical Residency. Dr. DeVries is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

He has training and experience working with all aspects of the foot and ankle, including trauma, primary care, diabetic limb salvage, and biomechanics.

When not in the office looking at feet, you will most likely find Dr. DeVries outdoors. He enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, and riding dirt bikes with his family. As an avid runner, he also enjoys pounding the pavement of the back roads of the Magic Valley. He has completed several marathons and also recently completed his first, and probably last, 50-mile race. His family is the most important part of his life, which includes his wife Shanna, their three children, a son-in-law, and his new favorite person in the whole world, his grandson. They are the reasons he does what he does.

Dr. Jasen Chandler, D.P.M

Dr. Jasen Chandler joined Canyon Foot + Ankle in our Twin Falls and Burley offices in August 2024. He is an important part of our team, providing comprehensive and thoughtful care to all our patients. Alongside Dr. Pilling and Dr. Devries, he brings his expertise and experience to all areas of foot and ankle treatment.

Dr. Chandler completed his Bachelor of Science at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho in 2016.

Following his undergraduate studies, he attended medical school at Midwestern University of Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. He was awarded a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) in June of 2017.

Dr. Chandler is one of only a few podiatrists in the country to train in a dual state podiatric surgical program, practicing in both Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Sacramento, California. This provided large scale exposure to a plethora of clinical and surgical treatments. He concluded his extensive residency program in foot and ankle trauma and reconstructive surgery in 2024. Dr Chandler is board-qualified by the American board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Chandler is an Idaho Magic Valley Native, growing up on a farm in Wendell, Idaho. He has since live in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and California. It was always his dream to return to settle in Idaho and enjoy the amazing people and places in the area.

His family is the most important thing in his life and includes his wife Sarah, and his four little girls. They are his whole world. They are his driving force in everything he does.

He loves to spend his time working out golfing, playing basketball, hiking, snowboarding and attending sporting events with friends and family.
